“Moriel Rothman-Zecher is not only a brilliant writer, he’s the finest editor I have had the privilege of working with. His ability to tease out the heart of a piece of fiction or nonfiction is matched by his compassion and generosity of spirit. He’s simply wonderful.”

Ayelet Waldman, NYT bestselling author of A REALLY GOOD DAY and BAD MOTHER

Editing fiction, creative nonfiction, and academic articles.

My baseline fee is $0.06 per word for a full edit (line and developmental edit). For a book length project, this fee includes 2-3 meetings, at no additional charge; for a story-length project, it includes one meeting, at no additional charge. Price and editing style are both flexible according to the author’s specific needs.

I love one-on-one editing and novel-coaching, and am experienced at helping writers get started, get unstuck, and work toward finishing their books. Writers I've worked with have gone on to complete manuscripts, finish major revisions, and secure literary representation.

Please be in touch for more information.

One-on-One Novel Coaching:

To set up a one-on-one novel coaching arrangement, either in the form of one session, or an ongoing set up, get in touch directly. The baseline fee for this is $160 per session, which includes a phone consultation of whatever length, and a read-through (without written edits) of up to 20 pages.

As above, the fee can be flexible, depending on needs and specific requests.

Hebrew to English translation:

Academic articles, literature and more. Baseline fee is $0.30 per word in Hebrew; my translations have been published in top academic journals including the Harvard Review, the Yale Review, and more.
